Here is the annual Martin Family Christmas Tree.....(drum roll please..) We got our tree the Sat. after Thanksgiving with our dear friends the Hansen's. It was great fun; except there was no snow! It was about 20 degrees warmer than the past 2 years. We feel a bit expectant now to have snow every year we get our tree because the last 2 seasons there was a beautiful snow fall for us... so Christmasy! But needless to say, we had a terrific time. The kids were playing tag amidst the trees and as fun as ever! Poor Killian had a fever though, and was in general under the weather.
Yes... here is Dad playing SWAT team recon Christmas Elf something or other... Basically, being his usual goofball self.
Maribella and Finley with their darling "sisters" Emma and Ainsley. The kids were being "trees" themselves; asking me to chop them down and then I preceded to hurl them on top of the Suburban as if to tie them aboard. My arms were aching after all of that lifting!
Bridget and I donning our slings with Gillian and Killian. They are such buddies; always chattering at one another and Gillian mauling Killian at every chance she gets. She of course is running circles around our lazy bum who
could walk if he wanted to.. but wont. What a Martin....
And Mr. Cheeseball himself... running through the trees. Finley is such a character; John and I often comment that he will be our standup commedian using his childhood as a launch to his many jokes...poking fun of being a brother of 5 and all those crazy times growing up in a not so average American home.. I guess we will just have to keep life fun and amusing to give him some good material.
